Before you are exercising, make sure you get 8-16 hours of water a couple hours before you are going to exercise. This way you are hydrated. Then, right before you go out to exercise, drink another 4-8 more ounces of water.
While you are exercising, you need to make sure you are drinking enough water as well. Every 20 minutes you should have 4-8 ounces of water. Sometimes it can be tough to do this if you aren’t used to it. However, you’ll get used to having the water in your stomach while exercising and the water will keep the water that you lose replaced.
You definitely need to drink more water after you exercise as well. You lose quite a bit of fluid while exercising, especially if you are working out hard. See how much weight you lost while exercising. Drink two cups of water for each pound that you lost while you exercised.
If you are exercising when it is humid or hot, make sure you drink even more water. The body perspires more when it is hot in most cases, so you really need to focus on replacing that water to keep yourself healthy.
